Team building weekend
At the beginning of summer i did have a plan to do more hiking in the Bulgarian mountains but did not expect that to come true. It looks like i managed to set up a programme that would let me do some hiking for a few weeks in a row. After last weeks’ long and exhausting hike, this weekend took me again to Pirin mountains.
I was invited by a member of a photo accessory company to attend their team building which was quite a privilege. The area of the event was around Iavorov chalet on the Northern side of the mountains. A dirt track took us right up to the chalet giving us more opportunities to explore the high mountains.
During the first day of our arrival we took a little walk towards the springs of Bela reka. The spring was not as exciting as we all imagined but it was still a great walk. For sunrise we were hoping for a better position that did not proof productive either. The forest around was magnificent though. The reserves here had superb forest with old growth Macedonian pine trees covered with lichens. It was very spooky but attractive.
On the following day we took a walk towards the higher parts of the mountains reaching the summit of the mountain. Photography wise it wasn’t very productive but the views were wonderful. More importantly, it was great to keep ourselves fit and take this 3-4 hour long hike.
Here are a few images from the trip:
