Wet, wet, wet! That’s what i would say for today. I was totally soaked wet. When i woke up it was only a gentle drizzle and according to the forecast it was supposed to stop. Well it did for 5 min. In the rest of the time it was raining and snowing all the time. Birds were active though. So i managed to do the route for the day in exceptional wet circumstances.

Some of the birds worth mentioning are Willow Grouse, Rough legged Buzzard, which was here last year too and some Northern Wheatears, Pied Flycatchers, Bluethroats,  Snipe and Redshank. All in all it was fairly good bird wise.

I managed to finish the route at about 9 a.m. and by 10 i was ready to leave. Since all my gear was wet i decided to spend the night under a shelter somewhere near the vicinity of my next route. Before i departed i wanted to check the weather forecast which was suggesting that tomorrow should be lay in day. It was going to be wet again.

It took me some time to find a place to stay around the next route. However cruising around produced good views of Black Grouse pair. I haven’t seen this bird for more than 5 years not to mention the proximity to the birds which were just by the side of the road.

After lots of conversations with local people that were very friendly i managed to find a  camping which had some free cabins at budget prise. I checked in, had a warm fish soup and crashed into bed. This was a long and exhausting day.
